So the other day Cory on BoingBoing posted about this gamer show purepwnage. So, I checked it out and its mad!!

It begins with teh_pwnerer being filmed by his roomate (and, i think brother), talkin’ up the RTS – how good his micro is and his mad strats. Then he sits on forums and says *lol* a lot, which is totally rotflmao..

A few episodes in we meet his friend FPS Doug, who’s obviously all about CounterStrike et al. Watchin’ them each riff on RTS v FPS games is hilarious. FPS Doug has the “dude, you run faster with a knife” scene that I’d also heard so much about from people.

Further on, we meet the MMO Grrl, and teh_pwnerer gets sucked in to WoW – then he thinks he can live on manna alone.

The latest ep (8) has them workin’ a LAN party, and the end of it has them meeting *real* fans.

The show is well shot, has cool use of slow-mo, but most importantly really captures what makes gamers so into their games.
