Today saw the launch of BoingBoing TV and it got me thinking.. is everything going video now?

This especially after watching checking out those wicked cool Bright.ly guys – with their ‘the future of the web is A/V’ pitch.

And my annoyance after clicking thru to a Purepwnage interview to find it was text…

And discovering that yes you can subscribe to a user’s video’s on YouTube via RSS.
I heartily recommend starting with The Guild btw.

Sure, text is gonna have it’s place. But… increasingly less so I think.

I suspect it won’t be long at all until Forums add A/V components… The whole In Response To system on YouTube just being an early example..

Now, the obvious retort is: but M1k3y, isn’t this all text?
Well yeah, but as soon as I finally get my futurephone I aim to start mixing in the A/V a whole lot more.
