In short the five days of WorldCon was like being a kid running around in a mindcandy store. It’s the biggest and best Con I’ve ever been too; now that I’ve tasted WorldCon I want moar!
Unfortunately, due to ongoing health issues, I didn’t get to make it to many of the after hours social activities.. only being able to safely stick around for drinks on the final night. Which meant I barely got to say hello to so many friends that were there; but I still managed to make some new ones.
My notebook is crammed with scribblings from the many thought-provoking panels. For the first few days I stuck largely to the Academic stream, then checked out the rest of what was on offer in the last few days. I’ll attempt to transcribe and expand upon them here in the coming days. (There’s something like 10pages of notes).
Of course TwitterTools has broke on me (hopefully fixed now), so not even the tweets I sent out appeared here. This search should be good for a while though (Twitter search still only goes back two weeks, AFAIK).
For now, I leave you with the snapshots I took.. vaguely documenting the period. (No shots of People though):
