For all the years of speculation and waiting, Apple have finally released the video iPod.
They kinda had to though, given how good the PSP is for watching content.
They couldn’t lose out to Sony, after all. 😉

Oct. 12 (Bloomberg) — Apple Computer Inc. Chief Executive Steve Jobs introduced a version of the best-selling iPod digital music player that also shows videos.

The new video iPod has a 2 1/2-inch color display and is an update of the classic white iPod, Jobs said at an event in San Jose, California, that the company had dubbed “One more thing” on its invitations.

You can already start converting your videos to use on it.

Selected tv shows are also available to buy. Hopefully the selection will increase soon, since Apple has traditionally favoured the Long Tail.

Hopefully, this will bring the tv-industry into the 21st C. Finally. With Google Video, and this.. things are looking a lot better, especially for those of us not living in the US or UK.

Now, I just have to do some creative accounting, so I can justify buying one.. 😛
